Rearview City

There it is shrinking in size, smaller and smaller as the speed of the car maintains its forward course…

Watching this city, this state that helped shape me into the woman that I am today, become more and more blurred is placing anxiety in my stomach…

Leaving the familiar for new scenery and hopefully some mental clarity. This place, my place, has now disappeared in the rearview mirror, but its home and its forever inked on my arm…

So, here we are new lands.. you and I. Let’s make the most of this beginning chapter.

“They tell you that the sky might fall
They’ll say that you might lose it all
So I run until I hit that wall
Yeah, I learned my lesson, count my blessings
Look to the rising sun and run, run, run…” -OneRepublic
