Spinning Astronaut

Change…a concept in life that some excel at while others fear it. I, myself, have always adapted to new challenges and new surroundings quite well. I may be the quiet chica who stays under the radar, but that’s just my process of observing the current change that has entered my world and figuring out the method of madness that is required.

Change, in itself, is not only a good thing, but it’s neccessary. Without change evolution wouldn’t exist, we wouldn’t exist. Without change, our lives would be stagnant aka boring. Change challenges us, it causes us to grow, it keeps us thriving.

Whether that change comes in the form of a new job, a new relationship, new surroundings… it’s one of the many moments in life where we need to take a deep breath and jump. Sure, these moments can be scary, but as one infamous Tim Burton character states, “Life’s no fun without a good scare.”.

My world is once again about to be shaken like a snow globe as change has arrived. My entire life I have lived in California, it’s a place that has made me who I am today. The journey that this place and I have been through is definitely bittersweet. However, it’s time for a new adventure. It’s time to take a dose of change.

My mind is racing faster than usual, my bones are anxious and my heart is slightly nauseous. But, deep breath and jump I shall. From the sunflower field to the ocean, I’m just a spinning astronaut in the midst of a new chapter in life.

What you know about rollin’ down in the deep?
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeze
When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion, yeah
I feel like an astronaut in the ocean…” -Masked Wolf
