Soulmates

How do you know when you’ve met your soulmate?

Is it a “love at first sight” situation? Perhaps its that “butterflies in your stomach” feeling that rushes through your instinctive gut. Or, maybe you just know, your heart skips a beat or two, signifying that “they’re the one”.

Have you ever found yourself starring up at that popcorn ceiling late at night, wondering how you’d need your soulmate?

Maybe you end up meeting then through friends or family.

Maybe you meet them out of the blue while you grabbing dinner to go at the local taco stand, or while you’re waiting for your order at the coffee shop.

Maybe your paths cross in a bookstore or the movie theater or the beach.

Heck, maybe you end up finding your soulmate in the land of social media. Is that even possible? Is it possible to one day notice a posted picture of someone and instantly know that they’re it, that they’re the person you’ve been searching for? A person whom you don’t know at all or possibly only know of…yet you know deep down in your heart that they are the one. Is this possible? And if the answer is somehow*yes*, then what’s the next step? You can’t just message them *hey, I know we don’t know each other, but we’re soulmates.*. I mean, you could, but they’ll probably think that you’re crazy.

Lets say that this person is now invading your dreams, then what?

So what do you do when you know you’ve found your *happily ever after*? Do you go for it or do you not do anything but, simply ignore that screaming voice in your gut because of whatever reason you’ve convinced yourself is true.

I don’t know…this is just a 3am thought that I needed to get out I guess…

That I love you
I’ve loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you’ll be with me
And you’ll never go
Stop breathing if I don’t see you anymore… -Nickelback
